Megaera, (Greek: Μέγαιρα or "the jealous one"

So here's my second submission for 's newest contest to design a GS3 outfit for any character or summons. I chose to draw a summon this time, because THEY DESERVE SOME ATTENTION! They only get a second or two of fame when you summon them. =[

Here's Megaera, who is summoned by using one Mars and one Jupiter Djinn. Thus, I made her sword individually themed: one of fire and the other of wind. ( That's what the glow around the swords are supposed to indicate )

Her top and skirt are supposed to be made out of leather (like her arm warmer and boots), but I failed epicly trying to achieve the leathery feel. x__X

I tried to go for a more battlefield look for this summon. Her original design to me is adorable, but she looked rather weak and sensitive in it. So I hope she looks more hardcore in this outfit xP

This was mostly for coloring and lighting practice, really. (That's why the line art is pretty much static, as I didn't really have a plan for any types of special poses)

And I left out drawing her mouth on purpose. I think it suits her purpose more if she is without a mouth, suggesting that her jealousy and vengeful feelings are beyond the expressiveness of words. The nose is just slightly suggested by the shading.

And much thanks to I saw somewhere in her gallery windows painted like this (except a billion times prettier). So I tried to emulate that effect myself. ^_^

Also, thanks a bunch to for making this awesome tutorial on how to paint chains! [link] Although I hardly followed it, it gave me insight on how light is reflected of from chains.
